REACH Services Offered by VUOS

Are you a manufacturer or importer of chemicals and preparations made of them? If SO, you must cope with the new European legislation known under the acronym REACH, which entered into force on 1st June 2007 (Regulation No. 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council).

VUOS is able to significantly help you with this problem. We are the only facility in the Czech Republic and one of a few facilities in the EU, which is able to completely solve problems with the registration of products of chemical nature and further problems related to the requirements of REACH.

Complete Offer of Services by VUOS - REACH

The VUOS staff is ready to render broad assistance to our clients in:

  • assessment of impacts of the Regulation on the company, including an estimate of costs
  • search and usability evaluation of the literature information about substances
  • planning of necessary tests, incl. economic data
  • determination of the substance properties using the calculation method (Q)SAR
  • determination of the substance properties using the Read Across method, where possible
  • conducting tests, writing reports
  • elaboration of a plan of further testing for the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA)
  • elaboration of a registration dossier
  • elaboration of Chemical Safety Reports and Safety Data Sheets

VUOS holds all the necessary documents, certificates and authorizations for the mentioned activities, in particular:

Certificates on Good Laboratory Practice compliance
Authorization to work with laboratory animals

All the activities are carried out by highly qualified workers who rank among the absolute top in the Czech Republic in testing, assessment and elaboration of the respective documents. Therefore a number of them represent the country in the most important international professional bodies.

VUOS through its activities ensures performance of the base set of tests required for the registration of chemicals with an annual output exceeding 10 tonnes and elaboration of a proposal for further testing as required by the registration duties. On top of that, VUOS conducts, to a limited extent, also determination of chronic properties, such as chronic toxicity and carcinogenicity. These tests are not listed (due to their uniqueness) in the following overview, which contains also information on the methods used:
