Colorants

Research and development in the field of organic pigments and dyes has ever been one of the core activities of VUOS. More than 450 products have been developed in the laboratories of VUOS and introduced in full scale plant production.

Organic pigments

Monoazo, pigment lakes, Naphthol AS pigments, diarylide, benzimidazole, anthraquinone, disazocondenzation, isoindoline, phthalocyanine, diketopyrrolopyrrole, pigment elaborations.

Organic dyes

Acid, reactive, direct, vat, mordant, disperse, polymer soluble, fluorescent brightening agents, liquid forms of dyes and optical brighteners. UV absorbers for textile industry.

Control of diazotation and coupling reactions

With the application of special sensors and ADCS (Azo Diazo Control System) unit, it is possible to monitor, control and optimise the key reactions in production of organic dyes and pigments.

Functional dyes

Research and development in the field of functional π-π systems tailored for life sciences (photosensitizers, biocides), high-tech applications (electronic, electrochromic) and UV protection. Monomers for electroconducting polymers.

Nanotechnology

VUOS participates in the international project NANOEFFECTS focused on all-plastic electrochromic devices.

Biocides

Development, production and customer support in the field of application of biocides in industry and cosmetics.
